WEEK 12 Finishing Up

this week o have finished up all my tasks,
i have finished my 3d glasses,
finished my CV
finished my portfolio
finished my business cards

WEEK 11 My 3 pieces for the Exhibiton

I finally put together my final three pieces for the exhibiton.
they are taken from the modules I have done over my time at
The university and I feel they reflect my skills and abilities
well. i have learnt alot, about myself and how to use certain
applications especially Adobe products. I hope to further
develop myself and these skills as i progress on with my life.

WEEK 10 Board Complition

This week I worked on placing student information on the boards
ready to be printed, I got the Posters Printed and finalised the
Flyers with relevant information, a map and the correct dates and
the university logo. aswell as Lloyds No1, who have provided
us with glasses for the event.

WEEK 9 Exhibition Sculptures

I decided to produce some big 3D glasses for the exhibit,
I used some cardboard, and a bit of paint, some tape and
a little bit of paper.. they are not completely finished
but its getting there

WEEK 8 Branding, and team work

This week I corrected spelling mistakes within my Website,
corrected some code issues with my js plugin, (Lightbox)
and looked at team members designs and helped them get
the most from the applications they use. and help the
correlation of the designs fit in with the web development
teams concepts, colour scheme, and graphical quality.

WEEK 7 Personal Banding

coming to the end of our degree we have to think about the future.
a helpful tool we can use is personal websites and personal
branding, selling ourselves like finely polished products.
I decided on calling my self Design Fourteen, 14 is my lucky
Number, and i like design.. makes sense really.

WEEK 6 Board Design

This week i developed the boards that student
work would be displayed on, after alot of
disscussion as to how we would present
the work, We settled on boards.
some of the ideas were origami cubes
made from paper, but due to cost
this was not a feasible expense

WEEK 5 Poster and a Flyer

I brainstormed many different styles for my poster and flyer,

the designs became integrated and eventually

I ended up going in a completely different direction.

this is my initial concept

and this is the direction I

eventually wound up on.

WEEK 5 Cont.. Graphics Team

the class got divided into teams based upon peoples preferences,

I chose to join the graphics team as i feel my strengths are best

applied in this area. We selected Kevin as our team leader, He

has great organization skills and is motivated which should inspire

the team.

We started setting up tasks for each member to look at for next

week and began working together setting up a dropbox account,

and a facebook group to swap ideas and files.

I was set to work on a poster and a flyer design.

WEEK 4 Group Presentation and the 3rd Dimension

Unfortunately our concept was not selected

however the idea that won, was a brilliant idea.

The idea is to use the old style of 3Dimensional

cinema (anaglyphic) using the Magenta and Cyan

spectacles. I think this is a very good concept and

should work well provided that quality of props

and supporting advertisement is up to a

good standard.

WEEK 3 Gallery Visit and Floor Plan

I designed a floor plan for the Exhibition, based upon the

experience I gathered by visiting a local art gallery,
the gallery had a brilliant lighting structure which really
complimented the work, this is something that i hope the
open floor plan I have Produced should replicate well.

WEEK 2 Progressing the idea

The concept for the exhibit, essentially this

logo/advert would serve as a banner

and poster/flyer concept.

it covers the tonal palette we would

intend on using, sticking to dark blacks

and greys, this would improve the work

of the students on display, by colour popping

them from the decoration/Exhibition set up.

WEEK 1 Progression

In our group we decided to brainstorm some ideas for the exhibition,
we decided to settle on the idea of progression. the progression
of art through the years and how it has developed to different
applications of media such as web design, graphic advertisement
and 3 Dimensional imagery.
